A
resident of Springfield since 1975, Michael Metnick
is a Chicago native. Mr. Metnick received his Bachelor
of Arts degree in Political Science from the University
of Oklahoma. Following a brief teaching career,
he studied law at Chicago's John
Marshall Law School. Upon completion of his
law degree, Mr. Metnick obtained valuable experience
as an Assistant Public Defender in Sangamon County. |

| Mr. Metnick has been in private
practice since 1977. He has achieved and
maintained an outstanding reputation among
clients and colleagues in the areas of criminal
defense, personal injury, family law and
appellate matters. |

| Mr. Metnick was a recipient
of the Illinois Public Defenders Association's
Award of Excellence and Meritorious Achievement.
